Weekly Blues News Recap: Gibson Guitar, B.B. King, Catbone Records
The Gibson Guitar story that we reported on earlier this week has entered into an entirely new realm, as reported by the political blog Talking Point Memo. Evidently, Tennessee Congresswoman Marcia Blackburn, the Republican representative for Nashville and a Tea Party darling, invited Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz to be her guest at President Obama's speech to Congress on Thursday night. Juszkiewicz was to attend this speech on jobs to put a human face on the administration's "job-killing, anti-corporate policies" (I'm being sarcastic here, folks...).
